LG Town GT350 is the first among new Town series phones from LG. This is a mid range messaging phone targeted mainly at youth with QWERTY keyboard and social networking integration. Live updates from social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter & Orkut will appear in real time on the home screen.

Other features of the phone include a sliding-out full QWERTY keyboard, 3-inch WQVA touchscreen display, 2 MP camera, Bluetooth and a microSD support up to 8GB.However, the phone is still lacking 3G connectivity.

LG Electronics has announced yet another slider mobile phone handset LG GU285 in India.The phone is a 3G enabled device coupled with a 1.3 Megapixel camera (primary) and an VGA camera (secondary) specially intended for making video calls through 3G.GU285 supports microSD memory cards up to 8GB.Device comes with preloaded fun apps like RockeTalk that connects to various IM service providers like Yahoo, GTalk etc.,

Our Take:

May be slightly over priced, just compare this with the latest LG GW300 (which doesn’t support 3G though), you’ll get to know that ! The phone does support 3G but don’t expect high speed downloads as it doesn’t support HSDPA.Camera is also a big disappointment should have been 2MP at least, times have changed I’m sure not many people would want to buy a 1.3MP camera phone at such a price these days.

If you want a cheaper branded 3G phone, you may want to have a look at Nokia 2730 Classic 3G which is priced much lower than this model.

LG Electronics (LG) has officially launched its new LG Mini (LG GD880), a pocket-size communication hub that maximizes the mobile web experience.

LG Mini is a 3.2-inch full touchscreen phone. This is the first phone to use LG’s HTML 5-compatible Phantom Browser, which offers a much faster and more stable internet experience. Mini also includes special internet applications and social network connection features that make keeping in touch with online friends easier than ever.

As the first HTML 5-compatible feature phone, Mini fully supports Google’s Latitude, Gmail, Calendar, Google Maps and Google Buzz services, with the same functionality and speed as on a desktop PC.
