Nokia which has just announced Nokia 5230 Nuron for T-Mobile USA, has another important announcement to follow.Nokia in partnership with Skype, has announced Skype mobile application for Nokia’s Symbian phones  via Ovi Store.

Skype in these Nokia Symbian phones works both on Wi-Fi , as well as through mobile data connection like 3G (also works on GPRS/EDGE, but 3G is recommended for Skype as it offers more bandwidth for better clarity).

If you are using any of the below supported Nokia models, you can point your browser to skype.com/m to download the application or alternatively you can use the links given below to get it downloaded to your PC.

Nokia has announced the availability of Nokia 5230 Nuron in USA through T-Mobile 3G.

The phone comes with great features like 3.2” inch touchscreen, pre-loaded Ovi Maps that offers free turn-by-turn navigation.In fact, Nokia Nuron is the first carrier-supported phone to be released with pre-loaded with free Ovi maps.

Review: Of course, like many of the recent phones from Nokia, this one also is modeled after Nokia 5800.The differences are , no Wi-Fi and just a 2 Megapixel camera in case of Nuron.No inclusion of these features mean a heavy price drop for Nokia Nuron, priced at $180.The 3G phone is worth a buy for it’s affordable price with 3G, touchscreen, A-GPS etc.

Well, looks like Nokia has been cashing in on the success of Nokia 5800 big time.I’m talking about the new model Nokia 5530 XpressMusic on the lines of Nokia 5800, Nokia 5230 & Nokia 5233.

Off late, Nokia has been just shuffling the features of Nokia 5800 to make it more affordable to the mid range mobile users.

And yeah, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is another XpressMusic phone with touchscreen, 3.15 MP camera, great music player, Wi-Fi and what not.Weighs 107g, 2 geams lesser than the Nokia 5800.

The cons of the phone are lack of 3G and GPS.The phone was launched in August 2009 but is hardly found in stores.

    Nokia N900 Firmware Update V3.2010.02-08

    Nokia N900 has got a new firmware update yesterday (from v2.2009.51.1 to V3.2010.02-08).The update however is available only via N900 only not through Nokia Software Updater.

    To update your N900 to the latest version,

    Go to App Manager>Click on “Update”, you would be seeing an update for Maemo 5 [the total download size I reckon is 16.2 MB].

    Nokia today released another touch screen Symbian series 60 music phone Nokia 5233 in India. Nokia 5233 is an affordable touchscreen mobile phone with only 2G and without Wi-Fi which are the only features different from Nokia 5230.
