Sony Ericsson Vivaz Now Available In Indian Market? A Report

There are reports of Sony Ericsson Vivaz being available in India. The stylish 8.1 megapixel camera phone is now available in India reports a popular gadgets website. Well the source of the phone from where it has been bought being unclear though. The reported price is Rs. 24500 INR (USD 540).

Sony Ericsson Vivaz is a touchscreen smartphone which has a 8.1 Megapixel camera. The camera can record 720p HD Video. SE Vivaz runs on Symbian S60 5th edition and has integration with Social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

Some more exciting features include the camera’s autofocus, image stabilization, face detection and photo editing, WiFi connectivity, 3G etc. This handset is also packed with a Stereo Bluetooth headset and a 8GB MicroSD card with 3.5 mm audio jack and a 3.2 inch display.

Powered by a 720MHz Processor, the phone may fill all your expectations. About the battery, approximate talk time (GSM)  is 13 hours and standby time is 430 hours.

Sony has already announced another version as SE Vivaz Pro with a QWERTY keypad and a 5 Megapixel Camera.

LG GS290 aka LG Cookie Fresh Announced

LG has just officially announced LG GS290 (LG Cookie Fresh GS290).

Last week we have covered about LG Cookie Pep GD510 launch in India, LG has announced another Cookie phone, called LG Cookie Fresh aka LG GS290.LG announced about this in their Korean official website.

LG Cookie fresh is touchscreen phone, with 2 megapixel camera, 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen display,the phone also boasts of a 3.5 mm audio-out earphone jack, “cartoon UI”, Push e-mail service, inbuilt social networking direct access applications (Facebook, Twitter etc.).

The phone lacks 3G and only sports a 2 MP camera compared to LG Cookie Pep and LG Cookie Plus.

Indian Mobile Company Launches ‘AAA’ Battery Based Mobile Phone Handset

An Indian mobile handset manufacturing company ‘Olive Telecommunications’ has come up with an innovative idea of including most commonly used ‘AAA’ size batteries in the mobile handsets.

Gurgaon based Olive telecommunications has said while launching the model FrvrOn (= forever on) that this product is will come handy for those residing in rural areas that are having erratic power supply. The specially mobile handset as you can see in the picture, will have a provision for inserting an ‘AAA’ battery besides conventional Lithium-ion battery on the rare side.This is a dual powered phone.

"With our phone, all one needs to do is pack a few extra cells (batteries) if one is travelling in areas where one expects power supply disruptions."

LG launches Corby killer in India:

LG has finally decided to launch its globally popular model LG GD510 in India, six months after it’s global release.It will be known as the LG Cookie Pep in India.

LG GD510 is a 3-inch full touchscreen phone,with 3.15 MP camera (sadly no flash !), Bluetooth 2.0, multimedia player, social networking app for Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace (like Samsung Corby).

Cookie Pep supports 3G but lacks Wi-Fi.Check out the full specifications from the following table.
