Apple is all set to launch the sequel to its highly popular iPad, the iPad 2 (we believe it’d be the name) today. We are now just an hour ahead of the scheduled iPad 2 launch event, which will start sharply at 10 AM PDT at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts Theater in San Francisco.

Not just Apple fans, I’m sure the whole of the gadget lovers community will be wanting to witness the event live. Also the fact that the iPad has been a huge success and rules almost 93% of the tablet market is just adding to curiosity. CES 2011

The 2011 international Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) is scheduled for January 6 through January 9, 2011. With the kickoff just few hours away, the gadget lovers would be gearing up to watch the event live (live on CBS on TV as well as on CBS radio station in association with CNET). All the new and upcoming innovative gadgets that are slated for release this year will feature in this biggest annual tech show. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) located in Geneva, Switzerland is all set for the first ever proton collision to collide protons at 7 Tev (trillion electron volts).There’s no guarantee that scientists will achieve 7 TeV collisions tomorrow, however the LHC will continue its run till 2011.LHC will be shut down for approximately a period of a year in preparation for achieving collisions of 14 TeV during the next run of LHC.

The LHC first physics proton collision event is set to begin in a while.CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) is offering live webcast which include live footage from the control rooms of the LHC accelerator and experiments; updates on progress of beams and collisions; interviews with experts on the physics of the LHC at 7 TeV, Live from the ATLAS Experiment, Live from the ALICE Experiment, Live from the CMS Experiment etc.

Here comes the biggest event of Hollywood (or may be the biggest event of world cinema), March 7, 2010 brings yet another evening filled with the most wonderful actors & actresses around the globe, and the lovely Oscar Red carpet.

The 82nd annual academy awards ceremony is going to start in few hours at 3PM ET (6PM PT) at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California..The most interesting battle in this years Oscars event would be in the best picture category where 10 films are competing for the best movie made in 2009 (Avatar, The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, Up in the Air).

And another category of interest is Best direction category (nominees: Avatar, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Up in the Air, Precious) where Avtar director James Cameroon and his ex-wife , Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow are competing for the award.
