Apple Mac OS X 10.6.5 is now available for download. The users can download the fifth maintenance update for Snow Leopard using native Software Update feature available from the Apple menu. The update fixes a wider number of issues reported since the launch of Mac OS X 10.6.4 in June 2010.

The updates contains as many as 25 major general fixes and improvements (plus tons of minor fixes) for several issues found in the earlier version of Mac OS X. Here are the some of the fixes and improvements issued in the Mac OS X v10.6.5 update:

– Improve reliability with Microsoft Exchange servers
– Address stability and performance of graphics applications and games
– Resolve a delay between print jobs
– Address a printing issue for some HP printers connected to an AirPort Extreme
– Address an issue where dragging an item from a stack causes the Dock to not automatically hide
– Resolve an issue with Wikipedia information not displaying correctly in Dictionary
– Improved performance of MainStage on certain Mac systems
– Resolves a VoiceOver issue when browsing some web sites with Safari 5
– Improved reliability of Ethernet connections.

Apple Safari 5 Released With HTML5 & Extensions Support

Apple has quietly released the next version of their popular browser Safari 5, at the WWDC 2010 along where we had seen the official announcement of iPhone 4 . The main new features in Safari 5 include HTML5 support and the extensions on the lines of Firefox and Chrome.

Well, the much awaited announcement of the next generation Apple iPhone, being called iPhone 4 is completed at WWDC 2010(it’s not iPhone 4G or iPhone HD as called by fellows who leaked it earlier).

Price And Availability:

Apple iPhone 4 has just been officially announced. The price of 16GB version of iPhone 4 is $199 and that of 32GB version is $299 on a two-year contract with AT&T.

Pre-orders start this June 15, 2010. The sales will start from June 24. Initially iPhone 4 will be launched in US, France, Germany, UK and Japan. 18 more countries will be added in July, 24 more in August , 44 more in September.

Apple iPhone 4G (also to be called as iPhone HD) is set to be officially announced today (June 7, 2010) at WWDC 2010. While we wait for the official announcement, let’s have a look into the detailed specifications (almost confirmed) of the next generation iPhone HD.

The iPhone 4G has just been announced today (June 6, 2010). We may expect the device to hit the markets in the third quarter (Q3) of 2010. No word on the price of the iPhone 4G till now (will be updated after the official announcement).

Apple iPad Fever: Much Anticipated iPad Goes on Sale in America

Apple’s iPad tablet computer has gone on sale in America. The first generation model has wi-fi but no 3G connectivity. It is not yet available outside the US. The price in US is $499 – $829 (£328 – £545).

Apple took pre-orders online but some early adopters began queuing outside stores the day before its release at 0900 EST (1400 BST) on 3 April. As you can see in the picture above people camped outside the Apple store in New York overnight.

Critic and user reviews of iPad:

There has been a lot of feedbacks from the consumers as well as the critics. There has been a lot of mixed reviews. Some tell that iPad may change the face of computers while some say its just a no.

Consumers Dissatisfied:

The first generation model has not included 3G connectivity which has become a hot topic of discussion. Some of the consumers are dissatisfied why 3G was not included in this world of third generation.

With the release of iPad in the US, other parts of the country like UK are also waiting impatiently for iPad’s sale.
