Find last accessed time & location of Facebook account:

1. Login to Facebook and click on “Account” dropdown menu on the top right corner of your screen. Click on “Account Settings”.

2. You will be taken to the Facebook “My account” page, where you will a number of tabs, each account for settings for different sections of Facebook. Click on Settings tab.

3. Find the “Account Security tab “under settings, you will have the account activity details listed under “Most Recent Activity

You can find the last accessed time, location and the device from where your account has been accessed. You can even enable SMS or email notifications whenever your account is accessed from a new computer or mobile device, just select “On” radio button under “Login Notifications” and click Save button.

Airtel Offering Free Facebook Access Till August 31

India’s leading telecom operator Airtel in an attempt to make youth use its internet services via GPRS (Airtel Live), has announced a free access to the popular social networking site Facebook free till August 31, 2010. During this period, Airtel users can browse the mobile version of the Facebook site, which is currently available in English and Hindi. The company has also said the site will soon be available in five other Indian languages which include Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

How To Activate:

Just type “FACEBOOK” and send as SMS to 54323 to get started you will soon receive a reply message with the following content:

Bing Maps team has created a new app called “My friends”, which pulls your data from Facebook profile to show your friends locations on Bing maps.

Just open the My Friends application, login through Facebook Connect, select “Allow” to allow the Bing Maps to connect to your Facebook profile, that’s all you need to. Now the profile pictures of all your friends who have listed a “Current City” in their profile will be pinned to the map,

Orkut team has yesterday announced minor upgrades to the Google’s social networking site, definitely in a attempt to catch up to the Facebook’s domination in the arena.This is evident since the launch of new version of Orkut with changes like enabling friends to comment on the status updates,auto-magic groups, file transfer in chat etc.

The new upgrade to the site will bring three feature changes:

# Scraps are now being replaced by conversations:

“From now on, all scraps you send to your friends will also show up in your profile, making it easy to start new conversations”

You can even comment on the ongoing conversations that any of your friends have already started, now this conversation will start appearing in your profile, much like that way how Facebook shows them up.

# Private scraps:

You can now send a private scraps to your friends which will be visible to only selected friends:

To keep something secret, just send a private scrap to your friends, and just those people selected will see it

# Privacy Levels:

Orkut has added privacy settings for each of the individual items like who can see content on your profile, who can send a scrap to you, etc.

Twitter Is Hitting 50 Million Tweets Per Day !!

The world’s most popular microblogging site Twitter has revealed site metrics in a blog post earlier today.

As per the data chart provided, you can see that the number of tweets per day have been are on the rise exponentially and just crossing 50 million mark in Jan-Feb 2010.

The number of tweets per day have gone up from 5,000 tweets per day in 2007 to 300,000 in 2008, to 2.5 million per day in 2009, and now they have grown enormously to 50 million tweets per day (600 tweets per second on average).

These values are exclusive of the tweets from twitter accounts marked as spam.Twitter however has to go a long way to if it wants to beat the giant sites in its genre like YouTube that serves a billion videos every day and Facebook where users spend 8 billion minutes per day.
