Now you no longer worry about this, as Google Maps India has just launched this new feature “Get Driving Directions” for Indian road routes.
Apparently, Google Maps is not the first one to introduce Driving directions for maps in India ,it follows Yahoo India maps and Live Maps India to add this feature.
Google Maps directions for Google Maps India is much similar to Yahoo India Maps and Live Maps India.You just need to enter the starting point and the destination.
Comparing Google Maps, Yahoo India Maps and Live Search Maps India
I wanted to just compare these three services (Google Maps, Yahoo India Maps and Live Maps India). In my case I tried to get driving directions for journey between Hyderabad to Bangalore (the two major IT cities of India, of course).
The results:All the three services showed a similar distance (Google-566 Km, Yahoo-572 Km, Live Maps-572 Km).All three were also similar in terms of number of turning points or intermediate stations –Google –38, Yahoo- 35, Live Maps-34 ).
But they varied considerably in terms of time of travel.Google showed about 9 hours 19 minutes , Yahoo -12 hrs 24 mins and Live Maps India-10 hr 51 min.

Shortcuts are meant for making life easier. We all know how to add shortcuts to our favorite programs on desktop.Now let’s see how to add a desktop shortcut for “Shutdown”, which when double clicked will shutdown your system.
Important: For those who are using Windows 7 please refer the NOTE given below (Please Scroll Down)
Steps:
1.Right Click on your desktop select New>>Short cut
2.Now a “Create Shortcut” window pops out which will ask you to type the location of the item (in our case it is “shutdown.exe”).
3.Type the following code :%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe –s in the textbox.
[As you can see we are trying to locate an .exe file called shutdown.exe which when executed will shutdown the computer].
After entering the above code, click Next
4.Now the window will ask you to select a title for the program give it a name whatever you like “Shutdown Shortcut” and click on the Finish button
5.The new shortcut will appear on your desktop.
You may change the icon of the shortcut so that it’s easier for you to identify the shortcut.[In the image, I’ve used a “Power Off” icon for the same ]
You are done now. You may also go for advanced options like adding –f or –t after –s in the textbox area.
If you use –f it’ll immedialtely closes all running applications and shutdown without any warning
if you use –t you can specify the time after which you want your system to be Turned off.
for example you may give like %windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 100 which will trun off your system after 100 seconds.[a message will appear as shown].
Note:You may also use command prompt to shutdown your system.The same code as in the above can be typed as shutdown.exe -s -t 100 and you’ll still get the same turning off message.Once it has started the only way to stop it is using the command prompt again.Use shutdown.exe –a to stop your scheduled turn off.
The above process has been posted with the Windows XP as the base OS, the same process can also be applied to Windows Vista based systems.
NOTE: For those who are using Windows 7 download the zip file below which contains the shortcut to Shutdown. Extract the file and place the shortcut where ever you want.

There was a time when Indian users had no option to send a mail in their own language, and later few software’s like Baraha had made it easier the task,and after sometime Google had come up with fantastic Google Indic Transliteration tool, an online translator which automatically translates the words that you type in English to the five Indian languages, and later extended to other Google services like Blogger, Orkut, iGoogle .Now Google finally thinks that it’s time to add this feature to the users of Gmail in India.
The Gmail editor (composer) much like other editors such as Blogger editor will also have an option to choose the language from the drop down list
(currently five Indian languages Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil are available) to compose mail in that particular language.
This is a really cool feature for Indian Gmail users and I’m sure they gonna love it.

Google chrome,the much settled browser (has been taken out of Beta recently) by now from search engine giant Google boasts of many features.’Most Visited Sites’, which brings all under one tab is mostly discussed among those.Even though many people liked it, but as users were not provided with a feature to remove this feature from their browser, hence it may be annoying at times.
However there’s a little trick to open blank pages in new tabs instead of most visited sites [Even though it may not remove Most Visited Sites].

The tick to remove appearing ‘Most Visited sites’ when you open new tabs goes like this:
first type [about:blank] or [javascript:window.open(“about:blank”);void(0)] in your address bar of the browser.
Click on the Star icon on the left hand side right next to the address bar to add this as a bookmark.
Now use Ctrl + Shift and Click on the bookmark to open a new tab with a blank page.
You may also edit the home page of the browser in the ‘options’ (add this about:blank as homepage) menu so that a blank page opens instead of annoying most visited sites each time when you start the browser.
How to export contacts from one Gmail account to another?
Gmail has made it very easy for users to transfer or export contacts from one Gmail account to another Gmail account.Just follow the following steps to export your contact list from one Gmail account to another Google account or to just save them as Outlook’s CSV format (for importing into Outlook or other applications) or vCard format (for importing into Address Book or other applications).
1.Log in to your Gmail account,from where you want to transfer contacts.
2.Click on the ‘Contacts’ link in the left hand side.
3.Now find the links ‘Import Export Print’ at the right hand side of your browser
4.Click on the ‘Export’ link
Choose the contacts you want to choose (You may choose all contacts or contacts by group).Choose the following option under the export file format.
Google’s CSV format (for importing into another Google account).
5.Download window will pop up download the CSV file and then open your new Gmail account to which you want to transfer the contacts and use ‘import’ option and upload your contacts CSV list.
That’s it check your cotacts in your new Gmail account.Isn’t it simple??
Mozilla Corp. has updated it’s famous open source web browser Firefox to version 3.0.8, with fixing two critical vulnerability issues (MFSA 2009-13,MFSA 2009-12) on March 28,2009.
